The only other sports teams to accomplish the feat of rallying from a 3–0 game deficit to win, were the Toronto Maple Leafs in the 1942 Stanley Cup Finals, the MLB Boston Red Sox in the 2004 ALCS and the 2010 Philadelphia Flyers.

Death of Victoria Snelgrove

After her death, Boston Red Sox outfielder Trot Nixon said he would have traded back Game 7 of the 2004 ALCS to have her back.

Kathleen O'Toole

While serving as Commissioner of the Boston Police, O'Toole was a central figure in the controversy surrounding the fatal shooting of Victoria Snelgrove during the celebrations of the Boston Red Sox victory over the rival New York Yankees in the 2004 American League Championship Series, in which riot police fired a "less lethal" pepper spray round, which missed its intended target and struck Ms Snelgrove in the eye, entering her brain and killing her.

Schilling tendon procedure

The procedure is named for Major League Baseball pitcher Curt Schilling, who required the surgery to be able to pitch for the Boston Red Sox in Game 6 of the 2004 American League Championship Series and Game 2 of the 2004 World Series.
