Paul Thomas Ott is a retired Brigadier General in the National Guard of the United States and former commander of the 32nd Infantry Division of the Wisconsin Army National Guard.
During the Berlin Crisis of 1961, Boland was assigned to the 32nd Infantry Division and stationed at Fort Lewis.
The base also provided training facilities for several CMF units and provided temporary accommodation for elements of the United States Army's 32nd Infantry Division when it first arrived in Australia in May 1942.
