Roughskin spurdog

The roughskin spurdog, Cirrhigaleus asper, is a dogfish of the family Squalidae, found circumglobally between latitudes 35°N and 35°S, at depths of between 200 and 600 m.

Spatulasnout catshark

The spatulasnout cat shark, Apristurus platyrhynchus, is a cat shark of the family Scyliorhinidae found in the western Pacific between latitudes 35° N and 1° N.


Khālid ibn ʿAbd al‐Malik al‐Marwarrūdhī

Together with ʿAlī ibn ʿĪsā al-Asṭurlābī in 827, he measured at 35 degrees north latitude, in the valley of the Tigris, the length of a meridian arc and thus the Earth's circumference, getting a result of 40,248 km (or, according to other sources, 41,436 km).

Wakakusa, Yamanashi

It covers an area of 10.29 square kilometers and lies on latitude 35° north and longitude 138° east.
