"Jackie's Song" is a composition by Julian Lloyd Webber for cello and string orchestra or cello and piano, composed in 1998 'in protest at the film Hilary and Jackie' which was based on the book A Genius in the Family by Jacqueline du Pré’s sister Hilary du Pre and brother Piers.
Anand Tucker's controversial 1998 film Hilary and Jackie is based on A Genius in the Family, and features Emily Watson as Jacqueline and Rachel Griffiths as Hilary.
It is based on a true story, A Genius in the Family, the memoir of Hiram Percy Maxim, and focusing on the relationship between Maxim and his father, Sir Hiram Stevens Maxim.
