ATYP’s first two years cover pre-AP content; the third year focuses at the AP English Language and Composition and AP Calculus BC level.
In 2010-11, Lacey Township High School offered several Advanced Placement (AP) courses to students including AP Biology, AP Calculus AB, AP Calculus BC, AP Chemistry, AP English Literature and Composition, AP Music Theory, AP Physics B and AP United States History.
Although Juniors and Seniors take actual college classes, some students say that Sophomore is the hardest year with a very rigorous schedule with up to 6 AP courses in AP US History, AP Environmental Science, AP English Language and Composition, AP Music Theory, AP Calculus AB and AP Calculus BC.
In addition to AP Calculus AB and AP Calculus BC, CCA offers Calculus III and Linear algebra on campus through San Diego State University's College of Extended Studies.
