Maine State Route 3

Route 3 follows the island's eastern shore to the tourist town of Bar Harbor, then continues south through Acadia National Park to the village of Northeast Harbor.

Swan's Island is accessible by the State of Maine ferry service from Bass Harbor, on Mount Desert Island, home to Acadia National Park.
