Moreton Say

Every year the village holds a flower and produce show during summer where villagers and people from the local community can compete in many classes from best vegetable & fruit, flowers, crafts, cookery as well as other classes.

Stanley, New Brunswick

The village is home to the annual Stanley Fair, the longest continuously running agricultural fair in Canada.


Eglwysbach

The village plays host to an annual Agricultural show and horticultural show in August, which includes displays of local cattle, sheep, heavy and light horses, showjumping a horticulture marquee, fairground rides and trades stands.

Hay Internment and POW camps

  They were interned in Camps 7 and 8 (located near the Hay showground) under the guard of the 16th Garrison Battalion of the Australian Army.

Sheaf toss

Sheaf tossing is also contested in Ireland and Australia particularly at agricultural shows and at fairs; Irish sheaf tossing differs from sheaf tossing in Scotland and France in that the sheaf is made of rushes which are bound tightly with baling twine and are not placed in a bag.
