Abdullah Shreidi

Abdullah Shreidi (died 16 July 2003) was a Palestinian who lived in Ain al-Hilweh in southern Lebanon and was the founder of Osbat al-Nour.

Ahmed Abd al-Karim al-Saadi

It is assumed that his brother Abu Tarek has assumed control of Osbat al-Ansar while Abu Mohjen remains in hiding either in Iraq or in the Palestinian refugee camp of Ain al-Hilweh.

Ain al-Yaqeen

After it was revealed that a member of the royal family had indirectly funded one of the hijackers in the September 11 attacks, Prince Nayef in an article published in the English edition of the weekly on 29 November 2002 claimed that the Jews were behind the attacks.

Mohammed Shreidi

After the killings of his father in 1991 and his older brother, Abdullah Shreidi in 2003 by the al-Fatah militia in Ain al-Hilweh.

Naji al-Ali

The writer and political activist Ghassan Kanafani saw some of Naji al-Ali's cartoons on a visit to Ain al-Hilweh and printed the artist's first published drawings along with an accompanying article in Al-Hurriya no. 88 on 25 September 1961.
