In 2010, Carr took part in Channel 4's Comedy Gala, a benefit show held in aid of Great Ormond Street Children's Hospital, filmed live at the O2 Arena in London on 30 March.

On 25 April 2009, Carr began hosting Going Out with Alan Carr, a new show for BBC Radio 2, in conjunction with Emma Forbes (later replaced by Melanie Sykes).
A third New Year Specstacular was broadcast on 31 December 2013 and featured Abbey Clancy, Ben Cohen, James Corden, Keith Lemon, Seann Walsh and Emma Willis with music from Katy B and Tinie Tempah featuring Labrinth.
He performed the song on So You Think You Can Dance on 30 January, as well as on Alan Carr: Chatty Man on the 11th, and on The Album Chart Show on Channel 4 on the 12th.
