Amadeo, Cavite

Named after King Amadeo I of Spain, the town is best known for their Pahimis Festival, which showcases the town's coffee industry.

Segismundo Moret

In 1871 he was Minister of the Treasury (hacienda) in the first government of King Amadeo I and in 1872 he was appointed ambassador in London but resigned after some months and accepted a directorship in a large British bank.


Henry Wikoff

He was friendly with the Bonaparte royal family in France, and was awarded the honor of Knight Commander of the Royal Order of Isabella the Catholic, by the King of Spain in 1871, which gave him the title of "Chevalier".
