Armaan made his Hindi Cinema (Bollywood) debut in Nikhil Advani's Patiala House (2011) alongside veteran actors Rishi Kapoor, Dimple Kapadia and Akshay Kumar.
Famous Kashmiri poets, such as Rasool Mir (known as the John Keats of Kashmir), Mehmood Gami or Mahmud Gami (Jaami of Kashmir), Hamidullah Shahabadi, Asad Mir,Peer Mushkoor,Ghulam Ahmad Wani (Amam Thoker) and many others originated in Doru Shahabad.Doru is also inhabited by some present day heirs of Kashmiri poetry namely S.M. Maqbool Fayiz, Yasir Kashmiri, A.G. Nisar Shahbadi, Waahid Kashmiri,Figaar Kashmiri, Armaan Shahabadi and the list goes on.
Reema Kagti has worked as an assistant director with many leading directors including Farhan Akhtar (Dil Chahta Hai, Lakshya), Ashutosh Gowariker (Lagaan), Honey Irani (Armaan), and Mira Nair (Vanity Fair).
Ahmad made her acting debut in Jamal Shah's controversial saga Kal and has since acted in Marina Khan's Tum Hi Tau Ho, Janey Anjaney and Tum Say Mil Ker; Armaan; and Talaash.
