In 1969, he won a grant from the French government to study in Europe where he learned graphic design with Paul Colin and lithography in Stanley William Hayter’s Atelier 17.
In 1963, she received a six-month scholarship to study in Paris and decided to take up intaglio (printmaking) with Professor Stanley William Hayter in his legendary Atelier 17 studio in Paris.
In 1965 he received a scholarship from the French government to participate in William Hayter’s experimental engraving workshop, Atelier 17 in Paris, working there for two years while attending the École nationale supérieure des Beaux-Arts .
In 1980 he went to Paris and there, at Atelier 17 with Stanley William Hayter, he studied colour etching.
Originally a graduate of English Literature and Philosophy from Bristol University, he subsequently studied Printmaking at Atelier 17 in Paris with Stanley William Hayter and then at Goldsmiths, where he also developed an abiding interest in Photography.
