Australian rider Jason Crump became the first rider since the legendary Swede Ove Fundin in the inaugural Speedway World Team Cup in 1960 to go through the entire tournament (including qualification rounds) undefeated.
It will be the fourth final to be held in Poland, and the second in the Alfred Smoczyk Stadium after the 2007 final was held there when Poland beat Denmark, Australia and Great Britain.
Australia, with Leigh Adams, Jason Crump, Jason Lyons, and Peterborough Panthers rider Ryan Sullivan, won their second consecutive Speedway World Cup defeating Denmark, Sweden, Poland and the Czech Republic.
