Karnataka Knowledge Commission (Karnataka Jńana Aayoga} is a high powered commission constituted in September 2008 under the Chairmanship of Dr. K. Kasturirangan by B. S. Yeddyurappa, the former Chief Minister of Karnataka with an overarching aim of transforming Karnataka into a vibrant knowledge society.
She was elected as MLA from Yeswanthpur, Bangalore in May, 2008 and was appointed as the minister for rural development and Panchayat Raj in the B.S. Yeddyurappa government.
