The initiative was formed in the summer of 2001 with the support of the University of Oxford, BITS Pilani and the National Science Council of Taiwan, with seed-funding from the AIT Trust based in Imperial College London.
It is home to Shamirpet lake, Jawahar Deer Park, Genome Valley, NALSAR University of Law and BITS Pilani-Hyderabad.
DR. (Mrs.) Amita Dev is the Current Principal / Director of Ambedkar Polytechnic and Bhai Parmanand Institute of Business Studies at Shakarpur, New Delhi is a Graduate in Elect Engineering (B.E) from Punjab Engineering College, Master in Science (M.S) from Birla Institute of Technology & Science (BITS Pilani), PhD (Computer Science Engineering) from Delhi Technological University.
Held from the 7th of July to the 13th in BITS Pilani, Hyderabad Campus, this event was held in partnership with MIT, the L. V. Prasad Eye Institute and the Perkins School for the Blind.
Founded in Delhi in 1999 by Chinmoy Panda (BITS Pilani, IIM-A alumnus), who is also the current CEO, Mindfire Solutions is an ISO 9001:2000 certified company and a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner as well as an Apple Premier Partner.
Pilani has some places worth visiting like the BITS, Pilani campus which includes Birla Museum, Saraswati Temple, Shivganga Canal etc.
