In 1976, Maurice Béjart brought the "Ballet du XXe Siècle" from the La Monnaie opera house in Brussels and choreographed Beethoven's 9th symphony.
From 1985 to 1988, Madia was engaged by Maurice Béjart to join his company Ballet du XXe siècle in Brussels, and since 1987 as soloist also with the Béjart Ballet Lausanne, where the company had moved.
