David was responsible for the rebuilding of Bangor Cathedral, the earliest surviving parts of which date to his episcopate.
John Pryce (1828 – 15 August 1903) was a Welsh clergyman and writer on church history, who became Dean of Bangor Cathedral.

He was appointed a canon of Bangor Cathedral in 1884 and archdeacon in 1887, before being appointed Dean of Bangor Cathedral in 1902, succeeding Evan Lewis.
It is identified with St. Deiniol, or Deiniel, a sixth-century abbot-bishop who founded a monastery at Bangor and to whom the mediaeval Bangor Cathedral was dedicated.
The longest serving Organist and Master of the Choristers was Andrew Goodwin, who retired from Bangor Cathedral on 31 October 2009.
He was also chancellor of Bangor Cathedral from 1877, and his library was presented to the cathedral after his death.
