Corbelli's roles at the Royal Opera House have included Don Alfonso in Cosi Fan Tutte (8 perf., 1997), Doctor Malatesta in Don Pasquale (8 perf., 2004; 5 perf. 2006), Don Magnifico in La Cenerentola (10 perf. 2007-2008), Doctor Bartolo in Il barbiere di Siviglia (6 perf., 2009), and Michonnet in Adriana Lecouvreur (8 perf., 2010).
During his years on the roster, Foldi appeared as Schigolch in the company premieres of Alban Berg's Lulu (directed by John Dexter, 1977, which was published on DVD in 2010) and Dansker in Benjamin Britten's Billy Budd (1978) as well as playing Dr. Bartolo in the premiere of Günther Rennert's Met staging of Le Nozze di Figaro (1975).

Bartolo states that the road that convinced him that his place was within the Labour Party was a long tortuous one during which he explored Karl Marx, Mohandas Gandhi, Vladimir Lenin, Martin Luther King and spent a year in Sicily working with an anti-Mafia activist Danilo Dolci.
