Recently Charles was back on stage in the Off Broadway production "Lightning at Our Feet", inspired by poet Emily Dickinson, under the direction of Obie winner Bob McGrath, with film maker Bill Morrison and composer Michael Gordon, which was part of the Next Wave festival at Brooklyn Academy of Music in December 2008, where she sang and acted, channeling the iconic 19th century poet.
Jing appears in a number of comic books, all written by Dini and illustrated by a wide roster of comic artists, including Stephen DeStefano, Bill Morrison, J. Bone and Sergio Aragonés.
In 2007, the festival screened over 100 films, including a range of diverse and original films from Sydney filmmakers and filmmakers such as David Lynch, Martha Colburn, David Firth, Virgil Widrich, Bill Morrison, Abigail Child, Albie Thoms, David Perry, Paul Winkler and Dirk De Bruyn.
