Alf Klimek

He owned his own studio, Birdland with producer Lindsay Gravina and worked in event musicals for a number of years until, in 1998 was asked by Klaus Baumgart to create a series of musical and audiobook productions for the successful "Laura's Star" series.

Birdland Park and Gardens

Birdland provided the live King Penguins for the Hollywood movie Batman Returns (1992).

Clarence Horatius Miller

He became a popular performer in renowned jazz venues such as Monterey Jazz Festival (1960), Birdland in New York, the Cotton Club in Chicago, Montreax Jazz Festival, and Detroit's Flame Showbar.

Dave U. Hall

Hall started playing with many Punk Rock bands which eventually led him joining Birdland with Lester Bangs.

Einar Iversen

He played in a number of theaters, with Dizzy Gillespie at Birdland (1952), on the America Boat with Anthony Ortega (1954) and Modern Jazz Quartet (1955), and was a regular pianist at Metropol Jazz Club, where he played with jazz greats such as Dexter Gordon (1962), Coleman Hawkins (1963), Johnny Griffin (1964), and with Svend Asmussen and Stuff Smith in Sweden 1965.

Fernando Otero

He has collaborated with one-time Bill Evans sideman Eddie Gomez, flautist Dave Valentin and pianist/film composer Dave Grusin, among others, and he sat in with Arturo O'Farrill’s Jazz Orchestra during their Sunday night residency at New York City’s Birdland, performing his compositions with this large jazz ensemble also at Lincoln Center and Symphony Space.

Flying Home

In 1979, Ella Fitzgerald recorded a seven-minute-plus rendering that can be found on the Pablo release Digital III at Montreux while an earlier Ella version (with Vic Schoen and his Orchestra) is included on the Decca release Lullabies of Birdland.

Pee Wee Marquette

He can be heard in the introductory sequence and tail of "Birdland" on the Quincy Jones Album "Back on the Block" as well as the introduction on Us3's hit song, "Cantaloop (Flip Fantasia)."

The Camels

After a performance at the Come Together Music Festival The band was then commissioned to write 3 songs for a documentary about Sydney's Bra Boys surf gang from Maroubra and returned to Birdland for the recording.

The Twinkle Tales

The book was followed by Policeman Bluejay, which was retitled Babes in Birdland for its second edition.
