Bescot Stadium station is on the Walsall Line between Birmingham New Street and Walsall, part of the former Grand Junction Railway, opened in 1837.
The main BIAD campus and library is located at Gosta Green, just north of Birmingham city centre, and about three-quarters of a mile from both Birmingham New Street railway station and the Custard Factory quarter.
The station is on the Rugby-Birmingham-Stafford Line 14 km (8½ miles) east of Birmingham New Street and serves both Birmingham Airport and the National Exhibition Centre.
