This proved to be a one-time collaboration and Frasca was replaced by Clark Brown from the band Symatic for their second album Black Science, released in 1997.
While working with the Black Science Orchestra (whose debut full-length arrived late in 1994), Beedle also started a project with Dave Hill, Uschi Classen and Rocky & Diesel, known as The Ballistic Brothers.
Writers such as Samuel R. Delany, Nalo Hopkinson, Minister Faust, Nnedi Okorafor, N. K. Jemisin, Tananarive Due, Andrea Hairston, and Nisi Shawl are among the writers who continue to work in black science fiction.
