The 1990 British Formula Three season was the 40th British Formula Three Championship, won by future Formula One champion Mika Häkkinen driving for West Surrey Racing.
The season began at Oulton Park on March 24 and finished after 20 races over 10 rounds at Donington Park on October 12, supporting rounds of the British Formula Three Championship and British GT Championship.

Toleman, who were an up and coming team in Formula One, lost Warwick to Renault and released Bruno Giacomelli, but signed former Grand Prix motorcycle World Champion in the 350 and 750 classes, Venezuelan Johnny Cecotto (only the second Venezuelan driver in F1 history), as well as a rookie from Brazil by the name of Ayrton Senna, the reigning British Formula 3 Champion.
In August 2010 it was announced that Juan Carlos had joined Motul Team West-Tec for British Formula 3 and he took a sensational National Class win on his debut at the famous Silverstone Grand Prix Circuit.
2006 saw Oliver move up to the British F3 International Series, racing for the famous Carlin Motorsport team, run by Trevor Carlin.
For 1997, Maurício drove for the works TOM'S-Toyota team in the British Formula Three Championship, finishing joint 11th place in the championship with Darren Manning and just behind Kevin McGarrity, the best-placed driver with a TOM'S chassis.
