When the centre originally opened it had just thirty five shop units as well as two major retail outlets – the SavaCentre hypermarket, a joint venture between British Home Stores and Sainsbury's, and a smaller Safeway (UK) supermarket.
Landlords of the Centre, Corbo Ltd, confirmed the 2009 closure of the Bhs Store, which would undergo redevelopment before being handed over to Next and New Look.
