Irish historian Joseph Lee in his book The Modernisation of Irish Society evaluated the CDB in the following words: "The Board's promise, in short, generally far exceeded its promise" (p. 129).

William Lawson Micks worked with the Congested Districts Board (CDB) for the full term of its existence, first as Secretary and from 1909 as a member.
He represented Dominica at the early conferences leading to the establishment of the Caribbean Free Trade Association (CARIFTA), the Caribbean Free Trade Area and CARICOM, the Caribbean Common Market that succeeded it, as well as meetings that laid the foundations for the establishment of the Caribbean Development Bank (CDB) and the Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS).
The band formed in 1991 had two albums, Glide with Me and CDB and a number of singles, most notably "Hook Me Up", "Hey Girl (This Is Our Time)", both Top 20 hits for them and "Let's Groove", a cover of an Earth, Wind & Fire song.
Glided with Me is an album by Australian R&B and dance group CDB released in 1995 on Sony Music and their debut album.
