Some of the events Hyatt has spoken at include South by Southwest, the CMJ SoundCtrl, ASCAP’s I Create Music, The Future of Music, Canadian Music Week, APRA’s Song Summit in Sydney, You Are In Control (Reykjavík), The ECMAs, NARAS, and The Taxi Road Rally.
In 2000, the CMJ Music Marathon magazine jokingly stated that "Cocaine Decisions" was to be a great song to categorize candidate for president, President George W. Bush.
He has performed at the biggest hip hop shows around the country, including the South by Southwest (SXSW) music festival in Austin, TX, the Brooklyn Hip Hop Festival in Brooklyn, NY, the Rock the Bells hip hop festival in Long Island, NY, the A3C Hip Hop Festival in Atlanta, GA and New York City's CMJ Music Marathon.
He began performing live in the Fall of 2004 and over the following years went on to open for the likes of Gym Class Heroes, MC Lars, Girl Talk, Plain White Ts, Ted Leo, Boys Like Girls and many more as well as perform at the Broadcast Music Incorporated (BMI) Showcase and Angels & Kings as a part of the CMJ Music Marathon.
Although they couldn't meet the request to play at Collette Millennium Party in Paris 2001 and CMJ Music Marathon 2001 (due to 9/11), they played at CMJ 2004 and SXSW 2006 & 2007 with good response.
In the summer of 2005, they had a national tour in support of their first album Time to Echolocate, which culminated in a performance at the CMJ music marathon in NYC and the Northwest Music Fest in Portland, OR.
Since 2011, Yvynyl has co-presented #MEGABLAAG with Ears of the Beholder blog: a music blogger party and meetup during South By Southwest Music Festival and CMJ Music Marathon.
