Fresno Air National Guard Base

The California Army National Guard CAARNG aviation units are based at the Mather Army Aviation Support Facility (AASF) located at the former Mather Air Force Base (AFB) in Sacramento, the California Aviation Classification Repair Depot (AVCRAD) in Fresno, the AASF in Stockton, and the Armed Forces Reserve Center (AFRC) in Los Alamitos.

Prior to doing so, he received a PhD in Modern European History from Vanderbilt University, was a Fulbright-Hays Research Fellow in Italy, taught modern European history at Stanford University, and served as an officer in the California Army National Guard.
