It has also been a training facility for the Australia national baseball team, Canada national baseball team, Queensland Rams and various Korean and Japanese teams as well as been the host of the 2008 Olympic Games Qualification, Senior and Junior Oceanic Championships, Australian Baseball Federation Diamond Awards and several goodwill series as part of the MLBAAP program.

Dumesnil was a member of Team Canada during the 2009 World Baseball Classic, although he did not enter either of Canada's two games during the preliminary stage of the tournament at the Rogers Centre in Toronto, Canada.
He is also the father of three sons who either play or have been drafted into professional baseball, including Cale Iorg, who represented Canada at the 2013 World Baseball Classic.
In addition, Franchuk was a coach for the Canadian National Team at the 1978 Amateur World Series, 1981 Intercontinental Cup and 2007 Baseball World Cup.
During the team's first season, former Astros manager and one of Puhl's teammates as a player for the club, Phil Garner became interim coach for the team as Puhl's obligation to the Canada national baseball team forced him to temporarily leave his position.
