Levine has performed recently with Marina Abramović in her retrospective at the New York MoMA, with performance artist Carolee Schneemann, and with choreographers including: Jennifer Monson, koosil-ja hwang, Alan Good, Marianela Boán, Pat Catterson, Larissa Velez, Despina Stamos, Pele Bauch, Wendy Osserman and the Denishawn Repertory Dancers.
Moorman was a friend and associate of many well-known artists of the late twentieth century, including Paik, Cage, Wolf Vostell, Joseph Beuys, Joseph Byrd, Yoko Ono, Carolee Schneemann, Jim McWilliams and others.
She came to New York in the 1950s and became part of the workshop-group originally initiated by Robert Ellis Dunn that would later be referred to as the Judson Dance Theater in its second term 1962, together with a.o. Trisha Brown, Ruth Emerson, Fred Herko, Sally Gross, Edward Bhartonne, Carolee Schneemann, Gretchen MacLane, Deborah Hay, David Gordon, and Valda Setterfield.
In 2010, the Museum of Modern Art opened an exhibit that dealt with Deren's influence on three experimental filmmakers: Barbara Hammer, Su Friedrich, and Carolee Schneemann as part of a year-long retrospective on representation of women at the MoMA.
