Early in 1909, he was one of the organizers of the Trinity National Bank, which merged with the City National Bank at the time of Silberstein's death.
He was also a board member of the City National Bank and the West Virginia Division of Labor Manufactured Housing.

In August 2001, the Gallery moved to Otis’ Westchester campus and was dedicated in honor of Benjamin N. Maltz (1901–1993), a local businessman and founding director of City National Bank, who was a supporter of many nonprofit art organizations.
In May 2013, Bankia, formerly Caja Madrid, announced that it had signed an agreement to sell City National Bank to Banco de Credito e Inversiones (BCI), based in Chile.
