In 1934 the manor was the site of a regional conference of the Communist Party of Slovenia, which Josip Broz Tito took part in under the pseudonym Rudi.
She was a member of the District Committee of the Communist Party of Slovenia for Klagenfurt and was named a people's hero of Yugoslavia after her death.
He rose to speaker of the National Assembly in 1978, and in 1982 he became representative for the Slovene Communists in the League of Communists of Yugoslavia's Central Committee in Belgrade.
