1950 in Northern Ireland

12 May - Nationalist Senators and MPs in Northern Ireland ask the government of the Republic to give Northern-elected representatives seats in the Dáil and Seanad.

Aontacht Éireann

Seán Sherwin, Fianna Fáil TD for Dublin South–West, was the only serving member of the Dáil to join Aontacht Éireann.

Ballynacargy

Robert Troy, Politician and Member of Dáil Éireann since 2011 as a representative of the Fianna Fáil party.

Dermot Lacey

He was Dublin South–East Director of Elections for various referendums and for Ruairi Quinn's Dáil campaign in the 2002 general election.
