Danda Nata is an Indian dance festival that originated in the Boudh district of Odisha.
The goddess is depicted as having eighteen arms, each having a weapon, like trishula, Khaḍga, Talwar, Kamandala, Shankha, Gada, Pash, Danda, Damaru, etc.
People’s confusion regarding this word “khappay” has increased since President Zardari has delivered speeches, first in Faisalabad on 17 January and then in Talagang (Danda Shah Bilawal) on 21 January, when he gave speeches in Punjabi on both occasions and he used this phrase.
This Vallabhi King then rose under Emperor Harsha to the position of a Maha-Pratihara (guardian of the royal gateway or the royal door-keeper) and went on to become a Maha-Danda-Nayaka (Royal Field Marshal).
