1975 WANFL season

David Parkin, now cleared from Hawthorn, plays in the reserves whilst coaching Subiaco’s league team.

1988 WAFL season

Claremont and Subiaco continued to dominate the WAFL this year under coaches Gerard Neesham and Haydn Bunton Jr. (who in 1987 was rumoured to be going to Fitzroy as a replacement for David Parkin) but this time the Lions took the honours with their second convincing Grand Final win in three seasons.

Having won over 400 games at a winning percentage of 70% Goorjian's record exceeds that of Australian coaching legends in the other major professional leagues including Kevin Sheedy (AFL - 365), Allan Jeans (AFL - 358), Tom Hafey (AFL - 336), David Parkin (AFL - 306), Wayne Bennett (NRL - 294 wins) and Tim Sheens (NRL - 235).


1982 Carlton Football Club season

Carlton's key senior personnel were all unchanged from 1981: Ian Rice as club president, David Parkin as senior coach, and Mike Fitzpatrick as captain.
