Berne is an unincorporated community in Milton Township, Dodge County, Minnesota, United States.
In addition to the Champion quarries, Mr. Green opened a quarry on Buffalo Creek, worked the old state quarry on the Wapsipinicon River for a time, a quarry at Wasioja, Minnesota, and one at Shuster, Missouri.
He moved to Dodge County, Wisconsin in 1858 and then to Mower County in March 1865 where he purchased the south half of section 11 of Sargeant Township.
The early settlers of the area were from New England, New York or Pennsylvania and West Concord, and well as Concord Township which surrounds it, were named after Concord, New Hampshire.

He came to the town of Ashippun in Dodge County, Wisconsin with his parents, when one month old, living there on a farm until 1898, and attending local public schools and St. John's German-language parochial school.
Heading to the northwest, it intersects the southern terminus of SR 165 and the southwestern terminus of SR 132, before crossing into Dodge County and entering the town of Rhine.
