A special 60-hour courses include Auto Electricity, Engine Trouble Shooting and Tune - Up - Engine Overhaul & Repair, Building Wiring, Basic Electronics, Audio-Video Servicing, Motor Rewinding and Ref and Air Servicing.
He worked for General Motors' Delco Electronics Division as an electronics technician in Kokomo, Indiana from 1954–1959, and as a technical writer (including for the Apollo Program) in Milwaukee, Wisconsin from 1959 to 1974 (when he became a full-time freelance writer).
After the war, he attended Jackson College and Albion College before embarking on a 30-year career as electronics technician for RCA.
It was named by the Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names (US-ACAN) for David Snyder, an aviation electronics technician with U.S. Navy Squadron VX-6, and a crew member on pioneer flights of LC-47 Dakota aircraft from Byrd Station to the Eights Coast area in November 1961.
It was named after Paul J. Sullivan, an electronics technician in support of the U.S. Antarctic Program at McMurdo Station.
