Founded in 1965, Figline always played in the amateur leagues until 2008, being promoted to Serie D in 2006 and then winning a second promotion as 2007–08 Serie D/E champions, thus achieving a spot in the Lega Pro Seconda Divisione for the 2008–09 season; both promotions came with Leonardo Semplici as head coach and attacking midfielder Anselmo Robbiati, formerly of Internazionale and Fiorentina, as captain.

Alberto Gallinetta

Born in Giussano, Italy, Gallinetta began his career within the youth academy of F.C. Internazionale Milano, where he remained until 2011, although he spent the 2009–10 campaign on loan with the youth squad at Serie B side U.S. Sassuolo Calcio.

Albin Ekdal

Ekdal turned down offers from other clubs including Chelsea and Inter when he was just 16 and 17 years old because his father, the journalist Lennart Ekdal, said he had to finish high school first.

Javier Farinós

In the 2000 summer Farinós caught the attention of Serie A's F.C. Jock Stein

Michaël Goossens

With the Gelsenkirchen club, Goossens notably scored in the quarterfinals of the 1997–98 UEFA Cup against F.C. Internazionale Milano, but the defending champions were eventually ousted after losing 1–0 away and a 1–1 home draw; with three goals, he was the best scorer in European competition for Schalke, but only netted five times in two and a half seasons combined in the Bundesliga.
