Afonso has played club-football in Switzerland for Étoile Carouge, Sion, Grasshopper, Lugano and FC Vaduz; in France for Valence; and in the Netherlands for Twente and Veendam.
Matteo Tosetti (born 15 February 1992) is a Swiss professional footballer currently playing for FC Lugano on loan from BSC Young Boys.
Aged 27, he signed with Cercle Brugge KSV, but did not receive regular playing time, subsequently trying another abroad spell, and being equally unsuccessful for Sporting de Braga, Panionios FC, FC Lugano and Sporting Toulon Var (the latter in the French second division).
