Between the mid-70's and the early 80's Di Lazzaro worked in notable films with directors such as Alberto Lattuada, Luigi Comencini, Florestano Vancini and Jacques Deray, then focused primarily on television.
In mid-60s he started working in more significant films, such as Un uomo a metà by Vittorio De Seta and Le stagioni del nostro amore by Florestano Vancini.
Born in Rome, Piazzoli began working for the Italian movie industry in the early 1960s as a cameraman, under the direction of Vittorio De Sica, Damiano Damiani, Marco Ferreri, Florestano Vancini, Mauro Bolognini, Dino Risi and Pasquale Festa Campanile.
