On his retirement in 1978, he held visiting fellowships at the Institute for Cancer Research, Philadelphia and the John Curtin School of Medical Research, ANU.
Educated at Harvard University and Washington University in St. Louis, Dr. Movsas previously held the position of Vice Chair of the Department of Radiation Oncology at the renowned Fox Chase Cancer Center.
Institute for Cancer Research (ICR) founded in 1927 as a part of the Lankenau Hospital Research Institute (LHRI), now known as Lankenau Institute for Medical Research (LIMR); in 1974, ICR split from LHRI and merged with the American Oncologic Hospital (founded in 1904) to become Fox Chase Cancer Center, located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
