Galt F.C. had little difficulty with either of the American squads, defeating them both without being scored upon.
Formed in either 1881 or 1882, Galt won the 1901, 1902, and 1903 Ontario Cups, but most notably the 1904 Olympic Football Tournament.
His younger brother Thomas was also member of a bronze medal team, but he broke his leg during the first game with Galt F. C. and was replaced with Johnson in a later three games.
In 1904 he was a member of the Galt F.C. team, which won the gold medal in the football tournament.
