Upon his resignation, Barrow was elected as a Chancellor Emeritus for life by the Georgia Board of Regents.
Larsen joined the board of trustees of the University of Georgia in 1927, continued to serve as the board transitioned to the Georgia Board of Regents on January 1, 1932 and remained on that board through 1938.

Charles Mercer Snelling (November 3, 1862 – September 19, 1939) was the Chancellor of the University of Georgia (UGA) in Athens, Georgia from 1925 to 1932 and the first Chancellor of the Georgia Board of Regents of the University System of Georgia (1932–1933).
