RadioDNS was originally created as a collaborative project between Global Radio (at that time called GCap Media) and the BBC, to investigate creating a mechanism for linking Broadcast Radio and IP delivered webservices.
The technology is currently implemented by a number of broadcasters across the world, including Global Radio, Bauer Radio in the UK, RTE in the Republic Of Ireland, Südwestrundfunk in Germany and a number of Australian media groups amongst others.

In partnership with Global Traffic Network it provides traffic and travel information to the majority of UK commercial radio stations including Bauer Radio, Global Radio, Absolute Radio and GMG Radio.
Paddy is now a senior producer at Global Radio in London, producing Capital Breakfast with Johnny Vaughan and The Big Top 40 Show for the UK commercial radio network.
On 11 October 2012, The Secretary of State Maria Miller announced Global Radio's takeover of GMG Radio would not be investigated on the grounds of plurality.
