In 2010, Pellow split the season between the Broncos de Reynosa in the Mexican League, the Tijuana Cimarrones of the Golden Baseball League, and the Schaumburg Flyers of the Northern League.
Since then, he's journeyed as a hitting coach with the Tucson Toros of the Golden Baseball League in 2009, the North American League Schaumburg Flyers in 2010, and the Kevin Costner owned Lake County Fielders (also of the North American League) in 2011.
The city also hosted a Golden Baseball League team in 2005, the Surprise Fightin' Falcons and the Recreation Campus ballpark and is the home city for a team in the Arizona Fall League, the Surprise Rafters.
They were to have replaced the Tijuana Cimarrones of the now-defunct Golden Baseball League, which is now a part of the NAL's Western Division along with the Calgary Vipers, Chico Outlaws, Edmonton Capitals, Na Koa Ikaika Maui and Yuma Scorpions.
The team also signed 2009 Golden Baseball League All-Star Fehlandt Lentini.
