An Là is the first daily television news programme to be broadcast in Scots Gaelic since the axing of Grampian Television's Telefios bulletins in 2000.

Doctor Who – Battles in Time

The test series was run in the Westcountry and Grampian television areas of the UK at a test market to see if Battles in Time would be popular.

Nigel Forbes, 22nd Lord Forbes

Forbes has later been involved in business, notably as a Director of Grampian Television from 1960 to 1988, as Deputy Chairman of Tennent Caledonian Breweries from 1964 to 1974 and as Chairman of Rolawn Ltd from 1975 to 1998.

Prelude/Angry Young Man

"Prelude" was used as an opening theme for the German TV talk show Live (1988-1996); and also used as theme song for Grampian Television's summertime news magazine programme "Summer at Six" in the early 80's.


1983 Scottish Cup Final

In Scotland the Scottish Cup Final was shown live on BBC One Scotland on their Sportscene programme and also on STV and Grampian Television on Scotsport.

Jo Farrow

Farrow is now a relief stand-in weather forecaster for STV, previously producing forecasts from STV North's studios in West Tullos, Aberdeen but is now based in the Edinburgh Studios.

Politics Now

Prior to 2005, the programme was broadcast from STV's former headquarters at Cowcaddens, Glasgow and the studios of Grampian Television (now STV North) in West Tullos, Aberdeen.
