Great America

Great America is a name shared by two American amusement parks originally built and operated by the Marriott Corporation in 1976.

Gulf Coaster

The Gulf Coaster was a small children's roller coaster that was built for both the Great America parks.

Marriott International

Marriott also developed three and ultimately opened two theme parks entitled Marriott's Great America from 1976 until 1984.

Ameri-Go-Round

The next year, Marriott's Great America opened in Gurnee, Illinois, and one of the attractions was the Carousel (not to be confused with the Double-Decked Columbia Carousel also located in the park), however, it received a new name, Ameri-Go-Round.

When Marriott's Great America (now Six Flags Great America) opened in 1976, it lured people away from Muskego, and into Gurnee, Illinois.
