Burton Overy is a civil parish in the Harborough district of Leicestershire, about nine miles south-east of Leicester city centre, and not far from Great Glen.
In 1948 Lancaster married Nancy Keene Perkins (1897–1994), an American interior designer and gardener whose previous (second) husband had been Ronald Tree, MP for Harborough.
Florence’s father, Thomas Harborough Upton, worked as a confidential clerk at the American Exchange Bank in New York.
His great-grandfather Thomas Paget, of Lubenham, was a banker and represented Leicestershire in Parliament while his great-uncle, also named Thomas Paget, represented Leicestershire South and Harborough.

Lord Harborough had died in the meantime and the estate had been bought by Lord Gretton who was more sympathetic to the railway.
It has no settlement as such as is one of the least populated parishes in Harborough District, comprising farmland surrounding the track from Stanford Park to Walcote village in the parish of Misterton with Walcote.
