In 1366 when Henry II of Castile de Trastámara was crowned king in Calahorra, the Navarro gentleman Juan Ramirez de Arellano received from him the Lordship of Cameros in return for services rendered.
Henry II achieved the restitution of the areas conquered during the reign of Alfonso VIII: Logroño, Navarrete, Entrena, Ausejo and Autol.

He followed the parciality of King Peter of Castile against his brother Henry II of Castile, and for that reason passed to Portugal, at the time of King Ferdinand I of Portugal, also for following in Galicia, from where he held, his side in the pretension he had for the Crown of Castile against Henry II, the Bastard.
This lineage ultimately ruled in Castile from the rise to power of Henry II in 1369 through the unification of the crowns under Ferdinand and Isabella.
