Horseshoe Bay, Bermuda

A very popular tourist spot, it lies on the main island's south (Atlantic Ocean) coast, in the parish of Southampton.

Horseshoe Bay, Isle of Wight

It should not be confused with a similarly named bay about 15km southwest at Bonchurch.

Somerset Bridge, Bermuda

On a series of Bermuda pound banknotes issued from 2009, the bridge is featured on the reverse of the pink five pound note, along with Horseshoe Bay and opposite an Atlantic blue marlin.


Lions Bay

After Grade 3, students mostly move on to the K-7 Gleneagles Ch'axáý Elementary School in Horseshoe Bay and then to Rockridge High School at Caulfeild; the school district provides school bus service.

Horseshoe Bay was proclaimed a port in 1851, and the settlement above the bay was named Port Elliot in 1852 after Charles Elliot, the Governor of Bermuda who was a friend of the then Governor of South Australia, Sir Henry Young.
