2 unusual facts about Jack FM


KPLM

A third station, KAJR-FM at 95.9 MHz took to the air as a fully automated Jack FM affiliate beginning in August 2007.

Woodstock Road, Oxford

Oxford's FM 107.9 and Jack FM, local radio broadcasters covering Oxfordshire, are based at 270 Woodstock Road, along with the local TV channel SIX TV.


Chillerton Down transmitting station

It now transmits Wave 105, 103.2 Capital FM, Jack FM, Isle of Wight Radio, the local Arqiva (NOW S. Hampshire) DAB multiplex and the national Digital One DAB multiplex.

KDHT-FM

The stunt lasted until 3 PM the following Monday, when, after playing "Smoke on the Water" by Deep Purple, "Jack FM" returned to Denver, with "What I Like About You" by The Romantics being the first song played.

Randall's Food Markets

After Hurricane Ike, Randall's partnered with KHOU Channel 11, 104.1 KRBE, and Jack FM for the Hurricane Ike Relief Fund in order to help those in need.

WBEN-FM

Named after Benjamin Franklin, the station pioneered a "Playing Anything We Feel Like" radio format, a concept which originated in Canada with the Jack FM concept.

On May 4, 2005, at 10:30 AM, after playing "Na Na Hey Hey Kiss Him Goodbye" by Steam, the station began a half-hour stunt; at 11, the station officially flipped to Adult hits, branded as "102-7 Jack FM."

WWJK

On April 18, 2012, after playing "Best of My Love" by The Emotions, and before going into "Unbelievable" by EMF, WJGH changed its format to adult hits, going under the Jack FM brand.
